How to Get Permission to Use Photos

I'm the author of a sci-fi / horror novel.  For the book cover, I'd like to use a picture of the Organ Mountains with my title graphics over it.  I went to Google Images and found two Adobe pictures I'd like to use but I understand I need to get permission first.  Can someone tell me how do this?  I can't find a way to contact the company.

Thanks!

Any image you find with a Google search that is available from a stock agency would require you to license it directly with that agency - for a licensing fee, of course. If you don't want to sign up for an Adobe subscription you can license just a single image.

You go to https://stock.adobe.com and licence the image. When licenced, you can use it according to the licencing terms. Modifications are allowed. As long as you stay under a print run of 500k, you are good with a standard licence, if the image you buy is not the primary reason for buying the book. If you don't want a subscription, buy credit packs (credit packs expire after a year). If you didn't have a subscription for now, you can sign up for the 30 days free trial. Do not forget to read the cancellation terms, and cancel before the deadlines, if you want to avoid continuing the subscription.

The author of the picture gave Adobe the right to sell licences of the pictures. So, the proof of licencing will be your licence history.

Understand from whom? In Adobe stock you (or probably your publisher) choose the license you need and pay for it, then download the graphic and use it; there is no possibility to negotiate or talk to the photographer. Do your publisher say something you have to do?
