Where do I report use of stolen copyrighted photo?

It's this photo: https://stock.adobe.com/images/a-spoon-with-black-elder-syrup-made-from-fresh-elderberries/449052282... in this Instagram post by Rooted Valley Cold Press: https://www.instagram.com/p/CmZZoxOJGHR/ but Instagram won't let me report it, and I don't see an option to report it on Adobe or a way to contact the photographer, Madeline Steinbach.

This looks pretty normal. A business licenses an image and uses it to advertise. That's what Adobe Stock is for. How can you know about the licensing arrangements for the business?

Are you the copyright owner of this picture? If not, I would be very careful as you can't know all that has been agreed upon. Even Ms Steinbach does not know if they have licenced the item. As @Test Screen Name says, this is the aim of putting something into stock and for buyers to use stock assets and not to need to hire a photographer for getting images.

I know from some of my images being used in different settings, and I would be very annoyed, if the licensee couldn't use the asset as intended and in accordance to the licensing terms.

So only if you are the copyright holder or know for certain that the item has not been properly licensed, you should jump into action. Henrik gave you the direction here.

If you are the owner of the photo/design, you can file a complaint. Visit https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/content-usage.html# and go to this section: "How to report suspected misuse of your intellectual property". There you will find the information needed to file a complaint.

Hope that helps.

How do you know that the person who posted it on Instagram didn't properly license it from Adobe Stock?

It looks like it's part of a large series by Steinbach which includes that same spoon and hand. Is the entire series stolen from another photographer? Are they your images, or someone else's?

Or are you saying it was stolen from the photographer and used on Instagram without paying Steinbach? And if the latter, how do you know the person who used it on Instagram didn't download it appropriately?
