How to Upload Vehicle Photos for Monetization in Adobe Stock

Hi everyone,

I’m a small business owner running a site called AHS Rankers, where we review and rank auto repair shops. I take high-quality photos of vehicles and want to upload them to Adobe Stock to generate some extra revenue.

I’m looking for guidance on:

  • Best practices for uploading vehicle images to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Requirements for model releases or permissions when photographing vehicles at shops.
  • Tips for tagging and categorizing car photos for better discoverability.

Has anyone successfully monetized their vehicle or automotive photography through Adobe Stock? Any insights, workflow tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here’s my website for context: https://ahsrankers.com

Thanks in advance for your help!

The vehicles as well as the shops in which they're photographed constitute Intellectual Property, and both require signed Property Releases in order to be accepted by Adobe Stock. You won't be able to get releases for the vehicles from car manufacturers, so the only option is to submit those as Illustrative Editorial assets. It's not certain that Adobe will accept those unless they meet their criteria for newsworthiness.

Yes, you will need releases for the auto shops. As for the cars themselves, read these guidelines for Illustrative Editorial, which is how you would need to submit them. You must also have a minimum of 100 downloads in your account history before you can submit illustrative editorial content.

Adobe Community Expert | If you aren't submitting your assets in sRGB, you probably didn't read the rules.
