Image License Question

I purchased an image for $79.99 with the understanding it is licensed for commercial use.  The file name implies otherwise (AdobeStock_540209080_Editorial_Use_Only).  How do I know I have the proper license for imcorporated the image in my retail product?  The receipt does not provide relevant detail.

Editorial-use-only assets can be used only in an editorial setting, as stated in the licensing terms. I do not know what your receipt tells you, but the site clearly marks the asset.

I suppose you took an extended licence, which is useless if you want to make merchandising products.  The US Army controls this to prevent misuse of the logos.

Contact Adobe Customer service to see what can be done on this. You probably should ask if it is possible to get a refund.

Thanks.  How do you square your comment with the note in the attached photo.  Shutterstock is similar.

Sometimes you need to read all:

Use your arguments as a leverage for a refund. That's best you can do.

If you are in merchandizing you are a professional. If you are a professional, you should know the limitations. That's my unqualified opinion.

I agree, that the hover text may be misleading, and that there could be a second one for editorial only assets.

The file name seems to be correct. Please see this screen shot of Seal of the United States Army. US Army star logo. US Veterans stamp Stock Vector | Adobe Stock (if you do not see a screen shot please come back to the forum page Image License Question - Adobe Support Community - 13454903)

Extended license does not change this, it's essentially a license it is not in Adobe's power to grant. You might be able to license it from the US Army, but the chances are they forbid commercial usage to stop unsuitable use.
