Location has to be there... but where? Works in search, but not in description? Or?

I searched for a highly specific location which is hosting an airshow event right now. If I search for the location on Adobe Stock, the name of the building, 99% chance it's a past photo from an airshow there. However, there is essentailly no detail in the listing... not even the location I searched for! So, how can I be 100% sure.

I search for "Changi Exhibition Centre" and I get a very fixed set of examples, some of which show planes flying a la the huge air show they have there. However, what detail is there? "teamwork." Helps me not at all if I need to use this for an immediate post. I mean, the search seems correct... that measn the info is there. Am I missing something? Is there EXIF data there somewhere, and I just can't find it in the UI? I mean, how does it know, and why can't I verify this? Makes thigns really really dodgy when I'm looking for specific locations say for beaches in Thailand, or.... wherever!

Where is location?

Stock Contributors are not required to indicate the location on their images, and in fact usually keep it quite general. Even if there is exif location data on the photographs, Adobe does not use that data to aid in searching.  Including specific names of buildings is usually not possible due to intellectual property restrictions. If IP protected assets are uploaded to Adobe Stock, they would be found in the Illustrative Editorial collection.

Clearly they do use it for searching. I get exactly the expected results for something as specific as "Changi Exhibition Centre." There are no manually added tags matching those words. You can take photos of buildings, and call the image whatever you want, including the building name. Copyright applies to the image, not an image of the building, as far as I know.

If I stand across the street from a hotel, and upload my images to any stock place, I can name them the name of the hotel, and the hotel cannot file a dispute with Adobe or me.

A Buyer cannot see the exact keywords that a Contributor attached to,an image.

Even if the building is not immediately recognizable, all signs and logos must be edited out, because those are trademarked.
For instance, search for "Hilton Hotel". You'll get many hits, but you'll see that they are all marked "editorial use only". You cannot use these for a commercial project.

Here are Adobe's guidelines for images that require a property release:

Here are a few examples of submissions that need property releases:

  • Physical or digital artwork depicting a fictitious person including painted, drawn, and generated illustrations
  • Famous landmarks, historic locations, and modern architecture
  • Copyrighted works like art, books, maps, and fictional characters
  • Identifiable exteriors or interiors of private homes and buildings
  • Distinctive product shapes like toys, bottles, luxury furniture, vehicles, and airplanes
  • Unique animals, such as race horses, famous pets, and certain zoo animals
  • Properties with photography policies, which may include stadiums, museums, concert venues, and amusement parks
