Please help cancel, I can't afford it!

I signed up for a trial subscription and missed the date to cancel. I can't afford it now and they want to charge me $189 to cancel it now. They didn't put that in large print anywhere 😞 I wouldn't have signed up for the trial then!

What can I do to get out of the contract?

Hi Diane,

They even send you a confirmation e-mail with that, when you took the trial:

I suggest that you contact Adobe customer care and negotiate your way out. But you need to know, that you agreed to those terms, when you concluded the contract. There is even a checkmark, where you confirm having read the terms & conditions.

Adobe customer care can be contacted by beginning a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen. Pop-up blockers need to be disabled! If the chat window fails to open, or is non-responsive, use a different device to start the interaction.
Support phone numbers may be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html. Please note that phone charges may apply.

Hi Abambo

I know, hence my request here. I didn't want to follow the incorrect advice given in other places. I was hoping to hear about a loop hole when I asked this question.

I contacted them via the chat yesterday and they were very helpful and even though you can't get out of the contract, they offer helpful solutions.

Honesty is the best policy!
