Hello,

I have purchased an image (a .ai), I then convert it to a PDF, changing the settings to CMYK for print and when I try to put the image in an ID doc it looks awful. Any ideas ADOBE world? It's driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to convert to PDF or to CMYK, you can just place the ai file directly in InDesign. When you output your file for printing, InDesign will take care of the conversions for you.
