scamming money to cancel plan

Question

I would like to know why i need to pay 149 dollars in order to cancel a plan that I chose to pay on a month by month basis. I dont understand how an early cancellation fee would apply to a month by month plan and not an annual basis. Ive downloaded probably 5 images and dont wish to use this service anymore. I certaintly do not plan on paying 150 dollars on top of the 60 that ive been charged for 2 months for 5 images. I feel like this way of charging people this much money just to cancel a subscription is a scam and entrapment.

You have taken an annual plan paid per month, not the more expensive monthly plan.

These are the month to month plans:

The early termination fee is half of what you still would need to pay to terminate your full year. In addition to have to pay the early termination fee, you will lose access to unused credits. Any assets that have been licensed can still be used after termination, given that you do not use them against the license terms.

When you took the subscription, you needed to check a button that you have read and accepted the terms of the contract. As soon as you have clicked the subscribe button, Adobe did send you a confirmation e-mail with all the contractual terms.
