selecting a image from downloaded PNG file from Adobe Stock

downloaded a PNG file from Adobe Stock. File consists of multiple vector icon images. When opened in Adobe Illustrator I couldn't select the icon image to use in a project. Layers panel shows no grouping or clipping mask withih the panel. How can I select the icon within?

I may not be understanding correctly, but it sounds to me like you need to re-download the file in vector (.AI/.EPS or .SVG) format. PNG is a raster format.
