Hello,

Today I received email from Adobe that some of my images was deleted because of Model Complaint. I was in a very good relationship with the model in about 6 month, we did really a lot of shootings and I have plans to sell photos and videos on Adobe for a long time. The model signed two model releases for me in English and one in Russian, I also have a photo of her passport. All this was completely voluntary on mutually beneficial terms. I spent a couple of thousand dollars and many days of work on this shoots. I also have photos together with model, backstage footage from the shoot and other evidence of her voluntary participation.

However, recently the model had a conflict with me and, due to personal animosity, filed a complaint requesting that her photos be removed from the stock. Without any investigation or request for evidence from me, Adobe simply removed the photos. But then what is the point of a model release, the model’s passport, and all the procedures that prove her voluntary consent to the photoshoot, if she can challenge it at any moment and have the photos removed from the site, photos that I spent a lot of money and working time on? Is the photographer really not protected from such arbitrariness at all?

You should read Adobe’s model release guidelines carefully. One model release form cannot be used for multiple shooting sessions.

Okay, in that case Adobe should allow me to sell photos from at least one shoot, on that first date when the model release was signed. But Adobe delete photos from that first shoot with date coinciding with the date of model release.

You won’t receive a reply here in this forum from an Adobe rep. You’ll need to contact Adobe Stock Contributor Support via the Contact Us link on your account page. You could also contact your model to determine why they have asked Adobe to remove those images.
