Question

Standard Licence Pictures for a non-commercial app?

Hello,

I hope you can help me to find the right licence in our case:
We are planing to develop an App for iOs and Adroid.
We want to use Adobe Stock pictures in our content.
The App will be non-commercial - that means users can download it for free in the App Store and will have full access to the complete content without restriction.

My queries:
1. Can we use a Standard Licence for the pictures in our app?
2. As I don't know how many people will use it will there be any limit coming along with the standard licence?
3. Inside the app we want to ask our users for donation - to support our project - will that be also ok if we use the Standard Licence?
4. In the future we want also to add InApp purchases to our existing App - will that be a problem?

Thanks in advance

Hello,
thank you for the feedback.
Unfortunately it did not help me as the license terms did not mention donation.

I just need to be sure that I can use the pictures with Standard Licence - I don't want to make a mistake.
Would be great if an Adobe Team Member can help me along with that queries.

Thank you
Stefanie

"Unfortunately it did not help me as the license terms did not mention donation."

The license terms do not change, surely? Free or charged or donation, all the same.

Adobe staff members WILL NOT clarify license terms. That is a job for a lawyer. Only the actual words in the license would be looked at in a dispute, not any clarifications or promises.

That I need to invest in a lawyer to understand Adobe liscence is very disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback.

1. If you meet the license terms. In particular viewing counts, and not distributing the pictures so they can be reused, and not making the pictures the main reason for getting the app. Consults a lawyer if the license is not clear, our opinion is worthless in a court.

2. There is a limit if the license says so.

3-4. The license does not (I think) make any difference for paid, free or donation projects. You can choose to make things free, but the photographer must be paid in either case.
