Hello !

Can a stock image be used inside a festival film with a Standart license ? The use of images in films is not clearly explained on site.

Thanks

Sure:

So yes, you can, as long as the cumulated viewer population is not higher than 500k.

Look here for more information on licensing: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock/links-for-licensing-terms/td-p/11366788
(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).

Thanks, I've read it, but it's really hard to understand. How can be number of viewers can be calculated ? Cumulative number of tickets and/or views on streamings? What will be if one day the number will exceed 500,000 ? I will have to immediately change the licence of already bought image?

That's your issue. There are methods that measure the number of viewers or give accurate estimations of those. Personally, I think that you either expect more than 500k views or less. 500k is a lot for small productions as yours. If it were a big production, you would have a legal team taking care of these nuisances.

If you come over the magic number, you will need to change the licence. You will be able to estimate on the past numbers when that moment will come. And by the way, there is not an Adobe employee checking out your viewers.

Note: free YouTube is considered social media, so you need only to count, when YouTube is behind a pay wall. It's the cumulative viewers count that needs to be applied.
