Question

The right to use low res comps in training videos?

Hi

I plan to do video tutorials that I'm going to sell.

Do I need to pay something to the owner of the images even if I use only the low res comps of the images?

Images are only used to fill a layout, to explain how to make a layout, a slideshow, how to import a video in InDesign,.. they are not the main elements of the tutorial.

Of course I can add a link and even mention in the videos that the low res comp images come from Adobe Stock.

Thank you

That's touchy in itself. Some might not mind if their images are just FPO but others do. To be safe, try purchasing the smallest file available for your project (or which ever one fits the dimensions needed) to use for your project.

To clarify: When I say that I could use the low res comps, I talk about the ones with the Adobe watermark.

To answer your proposal: I need 20/30 images. No budget to buy them all even in small format ;-)
