Hello, I am a musician and I wanted to use some of the included stock photography in my music videos. Is that something that's allowed? I couldn't find anything ecplicitly stating it is or isn't, only things related to merchandising.

Yes, you can do that.

Standard licence: (from https://stock.adobe.com/license-terms)

  • Include the asset in email marketing, mobile advertising, or a broadcast or digital program if the expected number of viewers is fewer than 500,000.
  • Post the asset to a website or social media site with no limitation on views.

Enhanced licence (videos):

  • Use the asset with all the rights granted in the Standard license.
  • Reproduce the asset beyond the 500,000 copy/viewer restriction.

Except if you are creating something for the adult industry, you may use the assets nearly without great limits.

Your situation may be tricky, as you are not allowed to create a new work by incorporating stock assets. Stock music is thought for guys like me, who do videos and want a quick (and dirty) solution to underscore the video with background music.

It's not thought to be used by musiciens who create own work, as derivated work and mixing with other work (musical) is especially excluded. This is different to an image, that you licence, that you can modify to your needs.

But, well, what I'm asking myself: why would a musician licence someone elses music, except for generating a cover version of someone's (very famous) work. For such applications, you need to contact the licence holder directly. Stock won't help you.

Look here for more information on licensing: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock/links-for-licensing-terms/td-p/11366788
(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).

Thanks for the quick response! I think I didn't formulate the question properly, I do not want to use stock music, I want to use Stock videos and photos that are free for me to license/download in my music videos. So the music played in the finished project is entirely my own music, but the video uses some video material from Adobe Stock. I couldn't find licensing term information on this specific question!
