Question

Using stock images to show a context for products

Does anyone know which licence you'd need to use a stock photo as a 'background' or context for a product image?  I'd like to use a stock photo of a picture frame and greeting card as a mock up of what my posters/cards would look like 'in real life', i.e. framed on a wall, etc.  The stock image would not form any part of the product at all; posters are sold unframed and greeting cards are just cards with my own designs on them.  The stock images are only used on either my website or possibly somewhere like etsy/instagram, and again, the image itself wouldn't be used in the product being sold.

Would this need an enhanced licence, or does the standard licence cover it?

Many thanks for your help, and sorry if this is repeating lots of other questions asked before!

Your question is about extended or standard licence. In your case, as described, a standard licence would do it.

Look here for more information on licensing: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock/links-for-licensing-terms/td-p/11366788
(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).
