Vector File Only Downloading in Preview mode

I have licensed a vector file. When I download it to my computer 2 thigs are happening that haven't ever happened before. (1) The file continues to download in preview mode, and (2) in my Finder window the prefview of the file is text documnat.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

(1) Please confirm that you are signed in into your Adobe account, when downloading the asset.

 

(2) looks to me like either a wrong association or the preview is the standard text that shows-up, when applications apart from Adobe Illustrator open the file. Those applications (also Photoshop, InDesign) don't show the Illustrator file, but show the embedded preview. If that preview is missing, It is replaced by a very short text. But it looks like the vector file has been downloaded as an Adobe Illustrator file. A screenshot of the text could be helpful. I suggest that you open Illustrator and attempt to load the file from the "Open…"-menu.
