Question

Vector Licence for re-sale creation

I am confused on what licence I need to purchase for some creations I am wanting to print on shirts for re-sale. My creations will be using about 10-15 different vector images to create one graphic, eg. a map that will include multiple vector trees, animals, vehicles etc.  Do I need an Extended Licence for each vector placed on the map or is Standard okay?  Also I will be doing another creations where I will be combining only 2-3 vector images to make one image, eg, hat with flowers, which licence will these need for this?

For merchandizing, you will need an extended license. And you will need an extended license for each asset.

(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).

The vectors used on the creation are not the primary asset, I am combining them all together to make a new design and adding in text, modifying some vectors and adding in some of my own elements. So really it a new design, would they all still need Extended licence?

My guess would be yes. But as I have no idea, how much you modify the asset, I cannot really answer that. Nobody can answer you that. You will need to read the licensing terms (what I have the impression you did, as you came back with a very precise description of what is considered) and act accordingly. IMHO: Adding text is not enough to avoid the extended license. Mixing two or more stock items still makes the items to be the primary assets.

You won't get an answer from Adobe on this here on this public forum.
