Question

Vector stock images that are not marked as ai generated.

Hello, for the past few months a lot of the vector assets i have downloaded are unueaseble for my professional work. They are clearly ai generated (or just VERY poor quality), but not flagged as such, so i can’t filter them out. Even in the preview i can’t spot this, but after downloading the paths are messy, everything is merged together, so i can’t edit them like i want. This feels like a huge waste of time. Sometimes it is so bad that i can’t even find a man made illustration for a certain general topic. As suggested many times there should be a report option for this. I contacted the support chat and they suggested i post the assets here, as i have a very long list i will just start with my most recent downloads.

I just moved to Adobe Stock from Shutterstock a few months ago and this is a HUGE problem on Adobe Stock. I was getting annoyed with Shutterstock’s skeevy practices, but probably 90% of the vector images I’ve downloaded so far from Adobe Stock are clearly AI-generated, brought into Illustrator, and converted into vector using Image Trace. The files are UNUSABLE. I can’t really edit anything or move vector pieces around. And there’s really no way to see if the art I’m downloading has this issue, because Adobe Stock’s download preview is so low-res it’s impossible to see the details of the elements. Look at this screengrab from something I just licensed, for example. What am I supposed to do with this? I don’t want Picasso-style squirrels. This is from file #1980063599.

This person is also uploading low-quality garbage like this. Why is Adobe Stock allowing this?

Hello @Thom26427199hwu8, I've sent the details of both lists in this thread to be reviewed internally. Thank you for the report and sorry for the problem with the assets.

Totally agree. To many points. I guess too lazy to just retrace and make a proper vector to make things easier for everyone. It really doesn’t take much time to do these right.

You should download EPS rather that jpeg or ever png

Thank you, but that is not the problem, i only download EPS or SVG files, they are just a mess and mostly AI generated. Since i can’t report them i listed them here to be reviewed.

Some additions to the list of poorly made (most probably) ai generated content i would like to report. Most of this creators have a lot of similar assets in their account, so it would possibly be a good idea to review all their work.

To clarify why i think these assets are not useable, they appear fine at. first glance, but the paths are all horrible. I can’t imagine a human artist drawing vectors like this.
