I'm working on a movie that will be shown on Netflix, TV and in cinemas. Can I use music from Adobe Stock? If so, under what type of license?

Correct answer Abambo

Sure. But you will probably need an extended licence. And An extended licence is only available to customers with an Enterprise subscription. So, I guess that will be the difficulty.

(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).

I don't know if your query is still relevant but it will be a solution for others who are in the same situation.

Yes, you can use Adobe Stock music for Netflix, TV, and cinema distribution under their Standard License, which covers commercial use in films, theatrical releases, broadcast television, and streaming platforms without additional royalties. The Standard License includes worldwide distribution rights and should cover your multi-platform release, though for very large-scale studio productions you may want to confirm with Adobe Stock directly or consider their Enhanced License for broader coverage.

It's still relevant, and your answer is bluntly wrong:

So let's check this:

  • Netflix: is paid access on-demand and streaming video.
  • Cinema: is theatrical release.
  • TV: is TV, without any doubt.

I would recommend that you check your sources before relying on AI-generated answers.
