Adding text to my photos

What is the easiet way to add text to my photos in the new adobe express app? It used to be so simple in the older version- I would upload my photo, click add text, and that was it. Now, I upload a photo and there is no option to add text

Looks like you have the image selected, so it is only showing you image editing options. If you deselect the image by tapping somewhere in the gray border area, you should see other tools, including the + button that you can use to add text.
