Acrobat Form Tab Order Lost When OPENED IN ADOBE SIGN

I set up the proper tab order/work flow in my Acrobat form, and sent it to someone to fill out the fields and eSign. Adobe Sign completely re-ordered the tab order so that the flow didn't work well.  The tab order should remain undisturbed when converting from Acrobat to Adobe Sign

    Hi Peter23504750deax and KevinCaoimhino,

    Thank you for reporting this.

Would you mind sharing more details about the issue?

It would be helpful if you could share a small recording of the changes that occurs in the tab order.

Please share the PDF form you have created so we can replicate the behavior.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,  I have put together a simple form for clients to fill in the name of trustees.  The tab order that I have created works through the first trustee details first, then moves to trustee 2.  When I sent it out for completion and signature, the tab order goes from Trustee 1 Name to Trustee 2 name then to Trustee 1 DoB to Trustee DoB 2 (zig zag).  The same happens on all other forms that I have attempted.

If you send it to yourself you will see.

    Best wishes

    Peter

    Hi Meenakshi,

Were you able to address the tab order problem?

I have another request - when preparing a draft form on eg Word, it would be useful to have symbols that denote a type of cell for when Adobe prepares the form.  eg a small box symbol for a tick box / toggle button and a square for a text box.  This would mean that Adobe will know what type of box is needed and where.  I have attached a current mortgage form which I am working on - you will see that the selection boxes for the last few questions do not operate.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Kind regards Peter

Hi Bob, I have just encountered the same thing.  I had set my form to fill vertically (two columns) however on transfer to "sign" the tab order went horizontally in a zig zag.  Did you find a way to re-order in e-sign templates?

    Thanks

    Peter

    Hi Bob_DeSimone,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please elaborate on the tab order you are referring to?

Would you mind sharing the PDF form that you have created in Acrobat?

It will help us to replicate the behavior.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
