Question

Acrobat Reader Desktop @ macOS loads the Classic Sign, and I need the New one

For the last two days, my desktop client on macOS defaults to the Classic view, and it ruins my workflow. Sending a document for 3 signatures without templates was 7 mins before — now with classic view it's 25 mins.

I tried to turn the new Reader off and back on again, restarting the desktop app — didn't help. I can't see any settings that could theoretically fix this.

What's going on?

Luckily, the web version works in the New mode, so I just installed the PWA app and will use it until the desktop client gets back to normal.

Adobe Support has provided the update:
Acrobat and Sign Engineering confirmed that the Acrobat Standard tier will have classic experience and no switch link in the desktop application.(default)
You can see new experience on the web as its different than desktop application but in desktop version classic experience will be default with no switch link.

To say I am disappointed is to say nothing.

Thank you, Adobe 😕😕

Hi @Al.ux,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with using Acrobat Sign.

What I would want to check is with the IT admin of your organisation if they have routed the default view for Acrobat Sign to the new experience.

From the description, it seems that the experience was not set as default, and the update switched back to the classic.

Please check with your organisation's IT admin and ask enable the feature for you from the global settings.

You can share the help article with them for their reference: https://adobe.ly/3Ut0Gj2

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Souvik.

Thank you @S. S

I've created a ticket in our support system, hope the IT admin will be able to answer this question.

When it's fixed, I will update here.
