Question

Acrobat Sign: can CC recipients receive only the completed document (not the "Agreement Sent" email)?

In Adobe Acrobat E-Sign, CC recipients receive both the "Agreement Sent" notification and the final signed document. Is there an account- or group-level setting that allows CC recipients to receive only the completed document? Any advice or recommendations from others who have encountered this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @Energetic_work4206,

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had.

Please note that this depends on which CC option is being used in Acrobat Sign.

Global CC: CC’d parties are notified only when the agreement is completed. Please check this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/4i3io9P

Recipient-aligned / recipient-bound CC: CC’d parties are notified when that recipient is notified during the signature cycle, and they receive read-only access to view the agreement. Please check this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/4i3io9P

The account/group setting under Account Settings > Send Settings > CCs enables the recipient-bound CC option, but Adobe does not document a separate account- or group-level setting that suppresses only the initial “Agreement Sent” notification while still sending the completed agreement for that same recipient-bound CC workflow. This is also available with the Enterprise level of service and subscription.

    Suggestions:

If the CC recipient should receive only the completed, signed document, use the Global CC field rather than a recipient-specific CC.

If this is for an internal archive mailbox or compliance copy, an admin can use External Archive: Account Settings > Global Settings > Send an extra copy of every signed agreement to the following email addresses. Adobe documents this as an account/group-level option that sends a copy of each completed agreement.

If agreements are generated through an integration/API, Adobe’s release notes mention REST v6 API-level notification suppression for participants, CCs, or senders, but that is documented as an API-level capability, not an account/group UI setting.

I hope this helps, and please reach out if you need any assistance.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
