Hi,

We want to be able to have a form filled out and signed minus the social security number. Then after it' s signed and we download it, we'd add the SSN. is there a way to do this?

Hi 333madducks,

Thank you for reaching out.

Once the document is signed, it is not possible to make any changes to the document. The document gets encrypted once all the signers sign it. You will need to add your SSN while filling out the form. Or you can make yourself the second recipient. So, once the document is signed, you'll receive the document, and then you can add your SSN. You may add yourself as an approver and a different role if you do not wish to sign the document. For more information recipeitn role, please refer to the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/using/set-up-signer-approver-roles.html.

There is a workaround if you wish to add an SSN after the document is signed. You can print it to PDF to create a flat copy of the document, and then add the additional information. Check if that works for you.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
