Adobe Sign (desktop) crashing when I try to add esignature field

I've been struggling with Adobe Acrobat Sign (trouble started this week). 

 

When I try to add a signature field to my PDF, the desktop app crashes. I've attempted to uninstall/reinstall the app, restart my machine, and re-creating the PDF...nothing works.

 

I was able to go to the online version and upload the PDF, then apply the field (it crashed the first time) bit worked on try #2 after a long wait period.

 

I feel like something is buggy since the interface changed. Using the online version is OK but not the experience I want. I like the desktop interface much better. Any suggestions?

    Any solution? I have this problem as well. Just started today.

    Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Acrobat. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates.

    If the issue still occurs, please share the following information:

    - Acrobat version number

    - OS version number

    - Crash logs using the steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/4dd0hs2.
