Can I assign more than one license to a single user?

We would like to send a bunch of letters for e-signing, however there is a 25 signature per user per month limit for teams and a 100 page limit. As it stands, we need to go over both of these limits, however we would like the signature request to come from one sender.

Can I assign two acrobat licenses to the same user to collect additional e-signatures?

Thank you for replying Meenakshi; The issue that we were experiencing was that we did not want to exceed our number of signatures we could collect in a single month. This is because we had been told that the information at the following link: Transaction Limits

-applied to each license each month... To say that another way, we were told that with 1 license, we could only collect 25 signatures per month.

After inquiring about this both here and with the Adobe support line, the "issue" was illuminated for us. The "transaction" limits are not limits on the number of "transactions" you can have in a certain month, but rather, are limits on the number of items that can be used for a single transaction. For example, you can send as many 100-page documents for signatures as you want (e.g. 50 or more) in a month, however you cannot send a 101 page document for signature.

The representative I spoke with this time also made sure to point out that Adobe follows a "fair use" policy for collecting signatures, which basically means that if they see that a very large number of documents are being sent for signature within a certain time frame, they will reach out to make sure that "unlimited number of transactions" is not being abused (or to deduce what else could be causing the high volume, like a botnet) but for all intents and purposes, small and medium-sized businesses should not stress over whether or not they will be able to send out more than 25 documents per month.

To sum this up, we ended up sending out 26 documents for signatures this month, totalling 187 pages (with the largest individual document being 11 pages) as well as approximately 5-6 "test" documents to make sure we were familiar with the process enough to make the actual signature collection seamless, all of this being done with 1 license, and no issues.

I figured I would post this information here for anyone else in the same predicament who had received the same misinformation as us. Happy signings!

Hi Ronaldb,

It is not possible to assign multiple licenses to a single email address.

On one email address, only one license can be assigned.

If you wish, you can assign two licenses to a single user on his different email addresses.

I think that is not what you are looking for.

However, you may try once contacting support to check if there is anything that can be done.

You may refer the steps mentioned below to contact them:

  • Login your adobe sign account directly via https://secure.echosign.com/public/login
  • Once logged in, check the upper right corner of the page and click the question mark icon.
  • A page will appear where you can find the option to create a support case or contact with the team.

Hope this helps.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Regards,

Meenakshi
