Can the bio-pharma settings page be used by an organization with a Adobe Acrobat Teams plan?

I’m just trying to find the location of the bio-pharma settings page, which allows admins to configure Acrobat Sign to meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, and I can’t seem to locate it.

In this article, it states that “ The Adobe Acrobat Sign Bio-Pharma settings page is available to the enterprise and business levels of service”, so I’m just trying to find out if a Adobe Acrobat Pro Teams plan falls under business levels of service:

Configure bio-pharma settings | Adobe Acrobat Sign

However, in this page, at the beginning of the video, there is a title in the bottom right corner of the video, that states that accessing the bio-pharma settings can only be used by an Enterprise plan, but it doesn’t specify Creative Cloud:

Using Bio-Pharma Settings | Adobe Acrobat Sign

Overall, I'm worried the bio-pharma settings page only applies to the Adobe Enterprise Creative Cloud, and there’s no option for accessing it with any Adobe Acrobat Pro plan.

If anyone has any insight on this topic that would be great!

@Adorable_Smile3f9c Hello! I hope you are doing well, and thank you for sharing the details. Sorry for the trouble you had.

Yes, if you mean Adobe Acrobat Sign for a regulated e-signature workflow, Adobe’s current documentation points to a configured Acrobat Sign Enterprise plan as the supported path for 21 CFR Part 11 validation.** Adobe’s validation package is intended to be executed on an Acrobat Sign Enterprise plan with SAML enabled for internal users, and Adobe’s shared-responsibilities guide makes clear that compliance is also part Adobe and part customer, depending on how the workflow is configured and governed.

So, the important distinction is that the Enterprise plan is the starting point, but the plan alone does not make the workflow Part 11 compliant. You still need to follow the validation package, apply your organization’s controls, and complete the required compliance validation.

Please refer to these official resource articles for more information:

I hope this helps and answers the question. Please reach out if you need any assistance.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Hi Meenakshi!

I was wondering if I could get some more clarification regarding this issue of this thread.

Does the “Acrobat Sign Solutions for small business” include the capability of having e-signatures that are compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements?

Thanks so much !

 Hi Adorable_Smile3f9c,

Thank you for reaching out again.

Adobe Acrobat Sign Solutions can be configured to support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. Adobe specifically provides Bio-Pharma settings designed to help organisations configure Acrobat Sign for these requirements.

This feature or capability of having e-signatures that are compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements is not included with Acrobat Sign for Small Business.

Could you please confirm from where you shared the following screenshot?

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

Thanks again for responding so quickly!

I found this license through the following steps:

  1. Clicking on “Buy Licenses”

  1. The “Acrobat Sign Solutions for small business” license is listed under “More products to enhance your team’s productivity.” section

And thank you again for confirming that it’s not included in that license!

I just want to confirm my understanding with one more question:

At this moment, the only way to obtain digital e-signatures compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements in Adobe would be through getting an Enterprise plan with Adobe?

Thank you!

Hi Adorable_Smile3f9c,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the confusion.

The Adobe Acrobat Sign Bio-Pharma settings page is accessible at both the enterprise and business service levels. Currently, these plans are included in the Acrobat Sign solutions and are offered as individual plans, separate from the standalone Acrobat or the Creative Cloud package that includes Acrobat.

You cannot access these settings with the Acrobat Sign Teams plan. For more information about Acrobat Sign Solutions, please refer to the following page: Acrobat Sign Solutions.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
