Check boxes appearing as signature

I have an Adobe Sign Form with some check boxes inside. The signature process is a two step process, first signer has to check some check-boxes and the second signer should just fill one signature. However, when I assign the check-boxes to Signer 1 it turns them into signature fields when the signature request email is received. If I leave the check-boxes assigned to Anyone they work fine as they should, but I don´t want second signer to be able to check those. Is there a way to have a check-box assigned to a signer without turning them into signature fields?
