Conditional Field not Hiding

Hello!
I'm working on using conditional display options with a form I'm developing. In the below picture, the middle row of fields (that are showing as greyed out) are each set with the condition:

show if KeyName1 =/= [blank]

I expected these fields to be completely invisible. Instead, they are still showing but greyed out. Is this an issue? Or is this just how the conditional display is intended to work? I'd like to find a way to make them totally disappear.
