Date/Timestamps no longer showing

Issue:
Not sure if this is something that has to be done within Adobe Reader DC/Standard/Pro either bit version but I was recently able to sign e-signature request sent to me via email and after signing it would show me date and time under my signature even before I hit click to sign to complete the request.

Troubleshooting Done:

I reinstalled adobe standard 64 bit as it's the only one we have with a license in our company and recreated my e-sign signature but when testing still having the same issue.

Seems the behaviour doesn't change if we are 'reviewing/signing' within most up to date as of this posting google chrome or microsoft edge web browsers

Now of course we can add a date stamp via the more items options before sending out a pdf requesting e-signatures if we need to sign it before sending but we have to do it each time. And it only applies to the senders own signature, not the potential signees after they sign.

History:
Odd that it was working fine just a few days ago. Reinstall of adobe has been completed, windows 10 device is fully up to date as of what's allowed in our company.

Found the solution I believe based on the iteration of Adobe I have/for the purpose of noting the actual fix rather then saying "I got it" and the thread getting archived rofl

Remove/Don't add a esign signature within adobe.
By default when e-signing a doc via email Adobe Sign will have you apply a signature per entry when you do sign as if you are adding it the first time.

So basically don't add a signature at all. The default method works on it's own.

Kinda clunky to force a payment with all software companies now but yup that should do it.

Ran into the same issue and after some trial and error, noticed a few inconsistencies with how timestamps show up based on the E-Sign option used:

  • Type - Shows timestamp
  • Draw - Shows timestamp
  • Image - No timestamp
  • Mobile - Shows timestamp

Hopefully Adobe can tighten this up soon. It definitely feels off beat when one signature includes a timestamp (like the Type method) and another doesn’t (Image method). Makes professional docs look inconsistent and unprofessional.

Attached a pic for reference, left signature is using Type signature, right one’s using Image signature.

Hope this helps!

The time/date stamp is a setting that can be toggled on/off. Verify your settings.

Thanks, that's the other thing, I can't find where this section is located. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard in our company.

It's the one with the new look, however no Account Settings on left or in the Menu drop down.

Is Adobe Acrobat Sign it's own individual program?

I'll attach a picture of how the gui looks:

you need to go to adobe.com and follow the steps - not on the computer
