Document Templates - Adobe assigning approver to first signature participant

I have a template contract with 2 people to sign (employer and employee)

We want to add an "approver" the only way to do this is to add them to the Participant list when using the template, however if we add them as number 1. it adds them as the first signer.

and then it will not let us send to prefill because it is saying we are missing a signature because when we add the approver it pushes our 2nd singer to the '3rd signer'

I am unable to add an Assigner to the template setup (our only options are participant, everyone, anyone or pre-fill)

We do not want the approver sign anything, what are we doing wrong?

This is so confusing to explain so i have tried to explain in photos.

BASICALLY WHY IS IT ALLOCATING MY APPROVER TO SIGN.

Hi Careers25619552usvr,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you wish to prefill the document and add the approver, you need to add yourself as the first recipient and then the approver. It is not necessary to add any fields for the approver. The recipient can view and approve the form by clicking the option at the bottom of the window.

When prefilling the form, if you do not wish to sign it, then change the role to form filler.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
