Download and Edit Document templates

Is it possible to download Adobe Sign document templates that including text tags? When I try to download a document template, all I get is a pdf and blank areas where the field are supposed to be. I jhave a number of templates that I'm trying to add to an automated process in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and in order to use them I have to upload them to Dynamics with text tags and I'm trying to avoid having to recreate them since I already have them in my template library
