E-sign payment integration

We use Adobe E-sign and have it integrated with Braintree to collect payment. Is there a way for the potential client to elect to pay online or mail a check? If the payment link is there it seems they are required to pay in order to sign. If no payment link, then they can sign but cannot opt to pay with credit card.
