Edit "Date" Format in Exports under Reports

Hi - Is there anyway to edit the "date" format in the export? I'd like the date to be excel compitable, so that when I mark it as a "date", it reads it as one.

Right now, it does not read it as a date for me:

Which is confusing because I know excel formatting supports the ability to include time and date, so I'm not sure why the export WOULDN'T be in this format already.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to remove "time" from showing entirely. I currently have to take my download, add a column, split up the date by the "T", and then delete that column.
