Edit name appearing as the autofill name

Hi there,

I am trying to get a document signed but the autofill is generating a name based on the email address which is incorrect and I can't work out how to change the name.

Has anyone had similar or know how to amend at all please?

Many thanks,

Hi @athletic_visionary7051,

Thanks for the response.

As the sender, you cannot pre-fill or lock a name for someone without an account. Acrobat Sign always lets the signer confirm or change it.

What the signer can do here:

  • When they click the link to open your document, look for their name shown in the signature block or in the top-right signer info box.

  • Click directly on the name field (or next to the signature) — it should become editable.

  • Type in the correct first and last name before completing the signature.

  • Once submitted, Acrobat Sign will store the correct name for that email address so it appears properly in the final signed PDF and audit report.

Souvik.

Hi @athletic_visionary7051,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the experience with signing documents.

This is likely because the name on your Adobe Account is not configured, so Acrobat Sign takes the name from your email address.

You can set up your Acrobat Sign profile from here: https://adobe.ly/45FjeBT

Once done, try the workflow again.

Let us know how it goes.

Souvik.

Hi Souvik,

Thanks for this - it isn't my account that's having the issue - it's the person i'm sending the document too to sign. Someone who doesn't have an account and is just being sent the document to sign.

Anymore advice please?

Thanks
