Electronic signature of documents

I'm thinking of using eSign through document exchange for interactions with customers.

If I do, what does the recipient need to do to make it work ? Is all they need Acrobat reader ?

Yes. Reader is sufficient for a Windows or Mac. There are Adobe apps for iOS and Android that will work as well for signing.
