Embedded webform always adds signature block on a new page

We are developing an embedded form (widget).
When the signable form shows on our client's website the signature block is always showing at the start of a new page.  So it effectively turns a 1 page doc into a 2 page doc and the is a big gap at the end of page 1.

This happens even when the content is short and the signature could easily fit on the first page.
Is there a way to display the signature underneath the rest of the content (i.e. on page 1) and not have it always add a new page?
