Error in Custom Date Field - Adobe Sign

Question

I added a custom date field in an Adobe Sign document because I only needed the month and the day. The field isn't marked as an error when I created it and Adobe allowed me to send the document out, but once the signer tries to fill in the date, they get the error message attached and nothing we enter works! What happened?

I have also included a snip of how I created the field.

Thank you for reaching out.

It is the designed behavior. The error appears when the date is not added in the same format as mentioned. Once you add the date in a format as requested, the error will disappear. If the error does not disappear, ask the user to add the date as "(May 2)" instead of "May 2."

You can also make the changes in the document and send it again. The error will still appear until the user enters the complete date, as the field is set.
