Fillable PDF; how to modify for two signers to edit different fields?

I've got a contract in PDF form with fillable fields.  I'd like to accomplish the following:

1.  Have certain fields that only I can edit and fill (contract language & options)

2.  Have certain fields that only the signer can fill (credit card info)

3.  Have signature lines for both of us to sign

I'm having a heck of a time making this work using Acrobat DC w/the send for signature tool.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi elunac1,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you send the document using Acrobat Sign, you can assign the form fields to the recipients. That will ensure that only that user will fill in those form fields. If you are also filling out the form, you can assign it to yourself.

When adding the recipients, if you will be filing or signing the document, add your email address as the first recipient. You can also add recipients or your email address, depending on how it should flow. To assign form fields, refer to the information in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4k6jX5c.

If you can share more information on the workflow you require, we can provide the steps.

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or need help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hello Arib,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you want to create Fillable PDF form using Acrobat and want to assign certain form fields with roles specific to users, is that correct?

Please refer to the following Adobe article which discusses How to create Adobe Sign Form using Acrobat https://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/en/sign/adobesign_create_forms_acrobat.pdf

You can also refer to Create forms

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

can you please point to the answer -  it's hard to even know what to look for if you are only pointing us back to the user guide. I am here so I don't have read through 2 entire guides.  this is very much appreciated.

Thank you.
