Help with Adobe Sign Value Display

Hi - thanks in advance for any help.  I'm trying to accomplish the following 2 tasks, none of which is "built in" to Adobe Sign. 

1. I need an inputted value to appear as follows:  Signer inputs “400000” and it displays as “$400,000”.  If I choose “entered value” for a text box, this is not possible.  If I choose “calculated value”, then it is possible, except when I try to insert the input as a calculated value (i.e., in Field 1 I input the calculation (abs[Field1]), I get an error message saying there’s a circular reference. 

2.  I need to have people input an ID number. The format is XX-XXXXXXX.  There’s an option to validate a SSN, but obviously this is a different format.  Given the capability to do it for SSN, I am assuming there is some script that can be inputted to verify my ID number instead.
