Question

How to allow a user to check a box after others sign

My company has a form that includes 4 signatures that must happen in a row. User 1, then user 2, 3, and 4.  After all of the users sign the document, User 1 needs to be able to check a box to confirm the signatures and to say the document has been forwarded to an appropriate department.  For some reason, even if I add an extra step requiring the box to be checked, the document is locked as soon as user 4 signs it, and the last step of checking the box can not be performed.  Any advice?

You have to assign that check box to participant 5 and then assign the email of user 1 to the user 5 in the workflow.

When I do this, it does not send it back to user 1for them to sign, strangely.  I have tried setting them as an approver as well so they don't need to sign the document only check it afterwards. It still hasn't been returning to the original user to check.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you wish that the form to return back to user 1 to approve the form, you will need to first add user 1 as recipient 5 under the recipient's list. That means you will need to add the user 1 email address in the recipient 1 and recipient 5 fields. Then while adding the checkbox, assign it to the recipient 5. Check the screenshot attached below for more clarification:
