I need to create a field on the library template for my own signature before I send the document or sign it after client signs

Hello,

If you want to sign the document as a sender, you can set the role as Participant 1 or last ( depending if you would be signing it as first or last) for the signature field in template. Once the template is saved, you can attach it in Send tab and check "I need to sign" as First or Last as per need.

This seems very unintuitive.  Surely Participant 1 is the person you are sending the document to, rather than you yourself?

Hi Richardc,

Sorry for the delay in response.

When you send the document, participant 1 refers to the email address that you add in the first recipient field.

It can be anyone, you yourself or the person to whom you are sending the document.

The participant 1 will be the person who will be signing the document first.
