How to sign encrypted DOCX

We don't want to share confidential documents with a third party like Adobe. When trying to upload encrypted docx files for signing we receive the error message "Acrobat Sign konnte Ihr Dokument nicht konvertieren, da es Passwortgeschützt ist."

Adobe does not need access to customer confidential information for signing. Document hash and timestamps are sufficient.
