Question

How to turn off email notifications for agreements

Hi,

We want to disable the email notifications that we receive, once the client has finished signing or at least remove the PDF file from appearing in the email

The instructions here do not make sense as the Adobe Acrobat Sign (profile icon) does not have “My Profile” drop-down

    Hi CACP123,

Please check if you get the options for E-Signature settings in the settings window on Acrobat web. You can use the steps as suggested below:

    • Open the Acrobat web account and click on your profile.
    • The select Settings.

    • In the settings window, check if you can locate the E-Signature settings. If yes, click on Edit settings and it will open the Acrobat Sign profile window.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

There is no options to do anything that would reduce risk of exposing clients personal information on Adobe Acrobat’s Signature tool

    Hi,

As mentioned those instructions do not work for people who are not “Adobe Sign” only customers.

We are on the all apps plan (Creative Cloud Pro) and have Adobe Acrobat which allows forms to be signed.

Using the login page for Adobe Acrobat Sign website takes us to a generic Acrobat page, Clicking the profile the only options available are:

    Hello @CACP123

You are right, and thanks for the detail, it explains exactly what is going on.

The earlier Personal Preferences > My Notifications instructions apply to supported Acrobat Sign team, business, and enterprise service levels, not necessarily to the Acrobat e-signature service included with an individual Creative Cloud Pro / All Apps plan.

    What applies to your plan

    Sender agreement emails
If your Acrobat profile does not display Edit settingsPersonal Preferences, or My Notifications, Adobe’s current documentation does not provide an equivalent control in the individual Acrobat/Creative Cloud experience. Therefore, the standalone Acrobat Sign menu path previously suggested is not available for your entitlement.

Recipient reminders can be controlled per agreement
Acrobat on the web: E-Sign > Request e-signatures > Agreement settings > Reminder frequency
Acrobat desktop: E-Sign > Request e-signatures; configure the reminder on the Review and send screen.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

So there is no possible way to turn off the “final / Agreement is signed” aka Finished email notifications for our plan?

    Hello @CACP123

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you please share more details about the issue? Could you confirm whether you are using Acrobat Sign Solutions or Acrobat Standard/Pro e-sign, and whether you are an Account/Group Admin? The available preferences and attachment controls vary by service level and permissions. Please check this article for more details:

    https://adobe.ly/4qLTcqI

Please note that the settings for My/Shared Notifications are only applied to the User's Profile who logged in to make the change.

For completion notifications sent to your own Acrobat Sign user profile

In the Acrobat Sign web application, select your profile icon > Profile Settings, then go to Personal Preferences > My Notifications. Clear the Email option for the completion-related event you do not want emailed, and then select Save. Reference article: https://adobe.ly/4ycrq9p

    • My Notifications apply to agreements you created.

    • Shared Notifications applies only to agreements shared with you through account sharing.

    • These choices affect only the profile of the user who changes them; they do not change notifications for clients or other signers.

The article you linked was last updated in April 2021 and uses the older My Profile wording. Current Adobe documentation also uses Profile Settings for access to the Personal Preferences area, although the exact profile-menu label can vary by Acrobat Sign service tier.

If you do not see Profile Settings or My Notifications

You may be using the Acrobat Standard/Pro e-sign experience rather than the full Acrobat Sign Solutions interface, or your service level/account configuration may not expose personal event notifications. Adobe documents personal event/alert configuration for team, business, and enterprise service levels.

In that case, ask your Acrobat Sign administrator to check your entitlement and open the dedicated Acrobat Sign application directly at: https://adobe.ly/4gNURYo
