How to update the template created by someone else?

Someone else created the template - I am not the administrator - can I get access to update the template? !

    Hi Mardid,

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    You cannot edit a template that is created by someone else in the group even if you have the Admin access.

    A template can be edited or updated only by its owner.

    No one else can get the access to modify the template.

    You have to ask the creator of the template to make the changes.

    This is problematic.  What if the creator leaves the company?  Then you have to re-create the document with all the integrated mappings and re-create the buttons?  Shouldn't this be an admin permissible function?

      Hi Marthad,

      Sorry for the delay in response.

      If the creator of the template leaves, you will be able to use the template.

      You will just not be able to make any changes or edit the template.

      You cannot update the template, but you can edit the template and save it to your library.

      Let me be clear you are editing a copy of the template, not the template itself.
