Question

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro and I cannot find the option for SMS authentication (OTP) in Request e-signatures.

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro and the Request e-signatures feature. However, I cannot find the option to enable SMS (phone) authentication for recipients.

I understand that SMS authentication (OTP) may require Acrobat Sign, but I am not sure if my current plan includes it or not.

I have already checked the recipient settings while sending a document, but there is no option for “Authentication Method” or “Phone (SMS)”.

My goal is to require signers to verify their identity using a one-time password sent to their mobile phone before signing the document.

Please clarify:

  • Whether this feature is available in Acrobat Pro or only in Acrobat Sign
  • Which exact plan supports SMS authentication
  • How to enable this feature if my account supports it

Thank you

    Hi Mohammed J Advisor,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We assumed that you are using the same email address for Acrobat that is linked to your community profile. Upon checking the account associated with that email address, we found that you have the Acrobat Sign Individual service level plan.

Please note that the phone authentication feature is not included in your current plan. This feature is only available with Acrobat Sign Solutions (enterprise plan). For more details about upgrading your plan, please contact the sales team using the following link: https://adobe.ly/4u3GtjN

To learn more about the phone authentication feature, please refer to the following help document: Phone authentication

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
