I got a message that PDF reader would no longer be supported after 12/31/2020. Is that correct?

I keep getting a message that Adobe PDF reader would no longer be available as of 1/1/2021. Is that valid because I have hundreds of PDF files. I continually download PDFs from many of the companies that I deal with from utilities, banks, credit card companies, etc.
