Input Fields for Workflow Not Populating Correctly with LDV

We're using input fields for our Hiring Workflow to automate the process and reduce errors. For our workflow, we have to use two document templates because we are utilizing Limited Document Visability. Document 1 is internal and Document 2 is customer-facing. Both of these documents have a "Salary" form field. When I try to set up the input field for salary, the 2nd document gets changed in authoring from "Salary" title to "Salary_25". When I check my template, it still says it's named "Salary" but when I go to send the documents in the workflow, it changes. So now, I have two input fields with "Salary" and "Salary_25" to make sure both get populated. I cannot combine the templates into one and use cloned fields because I need the LDV to work. 

 

I contacted support and they have no solution for this so I guess I'm wondering what the point is for using input fields in a workflow if they can't populate each document with those designated fields? Seems to defeat the whole purpose. I need the backend of Adobe to stop assigning my 2nd field with a new value and just leave as is.
