Issue signing a document from an external party - Free account deactivated

I need to be able to sign an external Adobe Sign signing request.

We were previously on a Enterprise Subscription on Adobe Sign but has terminated the subscription since we switched to another vendor.

Now it seems my email address is occupied by a deactivated free subscription so i cannot sign the external request.

Do i need an account just to sign? If not how cna I get rid of it?
