Languages of automatic email

In "sign", the language of the email sent, used to be in the language selected at the bottom. Now changing the language appears to just change the language of the website and not the email that is sent. All emails are now in English.

Have I missed something? It was working correctly just the other day (I always changed the "send" layout to the "old style" before sending).
